Of Shoes and Noodles

What a fun day we had! Somehow, most of my pictures of BBJ are when she's eating. Maybe that's because it's the only time she sits still? Not sure, but I'm DEFINITELY a fan of strapping kids down every once in a while. (I'm convinced she'd never eat, otherwise.)

We had a light snack of chocolate pudding this morning. Delicious! BBJ, obviously, enjoyed it.


We moved on and had a light snack of Winnie the Pooh. (Auntie W, we still love this bear!)

Auntie M. was super sweet and helped mommy pick out some sweet new shoes for BBJ. Stylin'!

We played with Cousin E on the stairs. Cousin E wanted to go downstairs to play. Fair enough! BBJ likes to follow Cousin E around...which presents this problem - Cousin E likes her space and she likes things to go exactly as planned. BBJ neither grants her space nor plans. So, they fight. BBJ chases E around, E makes BBJ cry. E gets in trouble, BBJ is told to leave E alone. The girls are set loose, and they do it all over again!

When BBJ is held at a safe distance and her actions are somewhat regulated (by, say, a steel gate, for instance!), E can be quite charming. Here, you can see her comforting BBJ. "I'm sorry you're not allowed to come down here, BBJ!"

BBJ astounded Mommy with how much she ate at dinner. She ate a good cup of rice and well cooked peas while Mommy fixed dinner (Pasta Roni with chicken and stir fried zucchini). After she had polished that off, she went to town on Mommy's Pasta Roni!

We got dinner done just in time to get BBJ into the car to go off to a friend's baby shower. Congrats on your forthcoming baby girl, Sara! Girls rock! (Oh, that's Auntie M, not me - I promise! Would I feed my baby sparkly lemonade punch at 8 pm? No!)
