PSA: Free Cards from Tiny Prints
Ok, somebody pinch me. SERIOUSLY. I just ordered nearly $400.00 worth of cards from Tiny Prints…for free. I didn’t pay a cent.
I KNOW!
Here’s the scoop. Head to www.TinyPrints.com before the end of 11/19/2010 and order your cards. (Choosing from any of their Thanksgiving cards.) Then, at checkout enter “freethx” in the Promo box. Your cards will be free. Shipping will be free. Handling? Free.
Want a tip? I picked two cards that I liked, and personalized them to say “Thinking of you. Love, The LoLo Family” and “Thank You! Love, Aunt LoLo". I ordered 50 of each. Now? I have 100 absolutely gorgeous, and COMPLETELY FREE Thank You and Just Because cards!
What are you waiting for?! GO!
(I have admired Tiny Prints cards for so long…I am SO excited for this chance to get some of my own! Because, seriously? Usually, 50 cards is $200. That’s a little more than I’m willing to spend on cards, Christmas or otherwise.)

I got a Free-ish thing!
A few weeks ago, a blogger posted about One Kings Lane….something about getting a $15 credit when you signed up, as well as gifting a $15 credit to whomever had sent you if you used the right link to access the site.
I followed the blogger’s link, received my credit, and waited a few days until I found something listed that was $15. $6.95 later (for shipping and handling) I had ordered myself a lovely green tea pot!
It arrived last week, packaged up so beautifully. I love the tea pot, my kids love the two sheets of bubble wrap that came protecting the tea pot, and we all love the two yummy candles they tucked into the box as a Thank You.
I was so excited to show you all this lovely pot…and then I realized that the $15 Sign Up credit was only a limited time offer. Currently, the offer is only a credit to me after a referral’s first purchase. So. It’s not quite as spiffy for you, I’ll admit, but if you are interested in home and gift items at 50% discounts, do go and check out the site! (And if the offer goes back to a Sign Up credit, I’ll be sure to let you know!)
If you’re interested, go to www.OneKingsLane.com/invite/AuntLoLo and sign up to take a look around. They have beautiful new items every day, perfect for those aunts, relatives and neighbors that you don’t know how to shop for!

LoLo’s Deal Alerts: Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue

Just popping in to share! Our little Ming Wai is QUITE a TinkerBell fan. It’s got everything she needs in life – wings, glitter, pretty little girls…and a distinct lack of stressful and or anxious situations.
Since she’s such a fan, I was pretty excited to find out that the new movie was coming out the week of her birthday! We stopped at a store today and picked it up – it is all wrapped now and waiting for our birthday girl to open it up.
Here’s what I wanted to share, though – if you have a TinkerBell fan in your house, we found a great deal on the Blu-Ray/DVD combo set. If you go to www.TinkCoupon.com, you can get a coupon for $10 off (the Blu-Ray/DVD set). The coupon is good through 10/3.
And if you don’t want to shop around, we found the best price at Wal-Mart: $24.95 + $10 coupon = $14.95! I’m not sure when Wal-Mart usually changes their prices, but…there ya go. Consider yourself LoLo Alerted.
(I’ll be back soon with videos. Are y’all excited? We’ve just returned from a little one-night vacation. We’re pooped, but we had an awesome time! I’ll get you all the deets as soon as I can.)

PSA: A Great Deal #2
So, when we find a great deal...I'll do my best to let y'all know. What do you think?
*crickets chirping*
Hrm. Well, maybe there are some shoppers out there. Let me know in the comments what kinds of deals you'd like me to watch out for.
First off, squash is in season! At our Stop n' Shop, there is not a single variety of squash that is over $.99 a pound. Last night, we had *Spaghetti Squash with Asiago Sausage in red sauce. Mmm...we fed our family of 2.75 dinner (plus lunch for Lo Gung for the next day) for about $7. Not bad!
*To prepare spaghetti squash, just cut the sucker in half length wise, place it cut-side down on a foil lined cookie sheet, poke a few holes in the skin, and roast at 350 for about 40 minutes, or until the flesh is tender. If you don't over cook it, when you scrape a fork through the cooked flesh, it will string out and look just like spaghetti. Then, just toss it with some spaghetti sauce or a little butter and cinnamon n' sugar. Even my Sworn Squash Hater, BBJ, gobbled it up when we told her it was "noodles" and "hot dogs." (Yes, we're Master Spin Doctors. Heh.) And don't even get me STARTED on how much SJ ate. Let's just say, it put last week's "Pasta Loompa" post to shame.
Second, there's a great deal at Babies R' Us/Toys R'Us - if you buy $30 of participating Proctor Gamble products in one go, you get an automatic $10 gift card at the check out. (Includes Tide, Dreft, Always, Bounty, Charmin and Duracell products.) Plus, there's a mail in offer to get a free pink cookware set from Good Cook when you purchase $30 of the above participating products. Oh, and if you get the Toys R' Us mailers, there's a $3 off coupon for Tide on the back.
So, to sum up - Go to Babies R' Us. Pick up 2 bottles of Tide to get you over the $30 mark. Hand them your $3 off coupon. Remind them of the gift card offer, but it should come up automatically in the computer. Go home with your $10 gift card and two bottles of Tide. Then, print out the mail in form, circle your Tide/Draft/Always/Bounty/Charmin and/or Duracell products, and mail it in to get your free pink cookware set (including a 10" covered saute pan, a spatula, measuring cups and a timer.)
The Toys r' Us offer is good through 10/14.
(Oh, and one more thing - if you're local, Christmas Tree Shop has Martha Stewart brand craft punches in stock for $3.99 right now, regularly $9.99. Sa-weet!)

PSA: A Great Deal
Ok, so I got a GREAT deal today, and I just had to share. Lo Gung and I have been looking for a new car seat for Siu Jeun. As of this morning, on our scale, the little dude weighs in at about 21.7 pounds...and his infant car seat only goes up to 22 pounds. That's a problem!
Our original plan was simply to give him BBJ's old car seat, but for various reasons ( a) it weighs 25 pounds and is AWFUL to travel with and b) some squirrels chewed on it and we don't want it around for another four years) we're in the market for a new one.
After some searching online, he found the car seat we wanted (high ratings on www.ConsumerReports.com, weighs 10 pounds, and retails for less than $100) on www.Diapers.com. I've never used them before, but...I have to say, I'm a fan now. Here's why:
Our car seat was on sale, and there is a doubler deal for new customers right now: If you purchase diapers or formula, you get $5 off PLUS 10% off almost anything else in the order. Oh, and there was an in-line coupon for Huggies (-$1.50)
Here's how it worked out:
Car seat (Cosco Scenera) : $64.99
Diapers (50 ct. Huggies) : $9.99
$10 Off Coupon : -$10.00
Huggies Coupon : $-1.50
10% Off (car seat) : -$6.50
Total Savings : $18
Total Paid: $56.98
(*Note - when you go to the website, it states that the code "New5" will give you $5 off. When Lo Gung plugged in the code, it gave him $10 off instead.)
Folks? THAT is a good deal. Doesn't it look like they paid me $1.50 to take 50 diapers off their hands? If you're needing a car seat and some diapers, check out www.Diapers.com! The shipping is free if your order is over $49, and if you place your order by 6pm, you'll receive your order in 1-2 business days.
Just thought I'd share. Now, carry on with your weekends.
