I'm a Lovely Blog!

I, Wonder Woman started a special series today called Frugal Living. The first installment is all about Frugal Food, and it's GREAT. If you'd like to learn more about how to feed your family for less, head on over! Myrnie's the real deal...a gorgeous, thrifty domestic goddess!

How about a few stories about the weekend? Let's see...we spent Saturday morning strolling the main drag of an upscale town near here, gazing in the windows at the beautiful clothes and toys for sale. Both kids were so very good - we packed them into our double stroller and meandered through town for nearly an hour.

That evening, we joined our friends at a Greek Festival that evening. OhMyGoodnessYUMMY. There were all sorts of tasty things to eat. My favorite was a little pastry that looked like a pile of noodles and tasted like honey butter toast. Om nom nom! Anybody know what it's called??

Now, on to the fun stuff - I've been Lovely'd! Miss JamericanSpice herself gave me this lovely award this morning, and I was just tickled pink!! Her blog is full of cute stories of her kids, lovely giveaways, and plenty of uplifting Christian thoughts.

See, passing on awards gives me anxiety...lots of it. I find new blogs nearly every DAY (I have hundreds of blogs in my Reader to prove it!) but I can never remember who's new, who's been there forever...

Aww...you like me! Laural, over at Mamasphere, gave me an award. (Really? For me? Aww....you shouldn't have!)

I've probably offended her by waiting this long to give my acceptance speech, but I was saving it for a rainy day...and there have just been other things going on, you know? Laural is such a sweet gal, and we've found that we have a few things in common...

Happy Thing #1 - SJ's belly button. Seriously, it's the highlight of my week. I love new belly buttons!

Happy Thing #2 - Ma's chicken ginger rice. It's delicious, and it's just for me! (The ginger helps new mommies get better. :-))

Happy Thing #3 - Ma is here! I've cooked dinner twice in the past two weeks, and that was by choice. (Apparently, Lo Gung can get tired of rice. Who knew?!)

Happy Thing #4 - Good friends and family on the West Coast who are sometimes up in the middle of the night to keep me company while I nurse SJ!

Happy Thing #5 - Chinese New Year is coming...yummy!

Happy Thing #6 - I lost another pound this weekend. (I know this weight will come off anyhow, but it sure does boost my confidence in the morning to see the numbers falling lower!)
