Oh, Louh Gung, I love you!
On Friday night, our family focused on relaxing and just enjoying each other's company. I made a crock pot soup (sweet potato chowder with coconut milk and curry - yummy!). Louh Gung came home from work an hour early. After dinner, instead of flipping on the television, we both got down on the floor and played with BBJ. When we were all well rested, we loaded up the car and went to do some grocery shopping together, finishing off my "to do" list for the week. We came home, had an early bed time for BBJ, Mom and Dad watched a movie, and then we turned in as well. It was such a fabulous, restful evening!
On Saturday, Mommy had to oversee/plan/participate in/conduct/teach a "super" activity for the ladies in her congregation. It was a huge project, but we had a lot of fun! There were crafts, yummy foods, and friends. Unfortunately, this activity took nearly all day! Louh Gung was awesome - he helped me get ready in the morning, then distracted BBJ when I left at 9:00 am. I was gone until nearly 2:30, but Louh Gung and BBJ had so much fun together! Louh Gung said they played, ate some breakfast, had a two hour nap, took a 45 minute walk, and generally had a fabulous time!
We all went to the mall in the afternoon, and then to our congregation's "Trunk or Treat" activity in the evening. What a blast that was! There was a cupcake walk (BBJ won a cupcake!), our friends were there, there was candy...and so many cute costumes. BBJ's little friend, Miss Stephanie, came as a flamingo. The flamingo and BBJ the Dragon looked quite charming together!
Pictures to come.....
