Friends, family...random lurkers...rejoice with me. For the day of our penance is past. The thermometer no longer reads 98 degrees, it is no longer as steamy outside my windows as it is in my shower.
Yea and behold there was a storm last night - a storm which did shaketh my windows and did cause me to tremble and to quake alone in my basement. Verily, this storm did cause the humidity to flee and the heat to abate. The storm did not wake my daughter, but watchful, fearful Mama was up until after the clock struck midnight.
Yes, rejoice with me my friends - our hair is straight once more, and Lo Gung is on a train bound for home. All is well with the world.
Also, let us not forget - the Tick Ranger will appear before the eve of Monday, and the arrival of my niece, to banish the nasty ticks from our land and free BBJ from her homey prison.
Yea, let us rejoice.
You are HI-LAR-I-OUS!!!! I remember summers like that in Connecticut, where my sister and I would sprawl out on the couch (because it was too hot and too humid to do anything else) and spray our selves with a water bottle while we waited for the fan to osolate in our direction and bring sweet release.
