Fitness/Aloha Friday (& a Giveaway!)

Fitness first: This will be my last Fitness Friday. It's been fun, and I've loved getting the support from y'all. I thought long and hard about it, and I just think that this "meme" has served its purpose.
I made my goal weight, y'all.
So, that whole thing about thinking "long and hard"? Not so much. I stepped on the scale, threw my hands in the air, and screamed "YaDa!" (Heroes style). Scared the wahooie outta my kids. Then I made everyone in the house bow down and call me awesome.
Not really, but only because the tile floors were so cold this morning. (It's a high of 40 today, guys...and it's been snowing since yesterday morning. Not sticking...but still!)
Then I realized I don't need to report on my Scale Activity to y'all, anymore. Whew!

To celebrate, I want to give something away. It's been a while!! I'm thinking...something along the lines of a new apron, made by yours truly? The Holidays are upon us, and there's no better way to keep warm than to crank up the oven and station yourself in front of it!

To enter, simply leave a comment below. Good luck!! (Please make sure you've got a way for me to reach you! The best, of course, is an e-mail address in your profile. Or you could always "follow" this little ol' blog and just wait for me to call your name. Take your pick.)

And now we get to my favorite part of the week - the part where YOU do my blogging for me!

It's simple - I post a question, you comment with an answer, and we are all edified together. (If you'd like more questions to answer, or would like to play along, head on over to Island Life and link up!)

So my question is...
How do you reward yourself when you reach a goal?

I'm not sure that I'll really reward myself, other than the big ol' Brag Fest that this post is...but if I did...I'd probably go buy myself something. New jewelry, perhaps? Hmm...

  8. Congratulations! That is awesome that you met your goal! I think you should *randomly* pick me for your fabulous apron because I seem to have been gaining weight lately. I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep gaining for another 7 weeks or so. A new apron would make me feel better :-).

How do I reward myself for reaching a goal? I usually don't, how sad is that? Another reason to need your apron.

  9. Congrats on reaching your goal! I'm going to need to set my own goals in a few months. ;) I usually reward myself with something that I've been wanting. If it were a weight goal I'd probably get a new pair of jeans or some other piece of clothing. :)

  10. Congrats!

I usually buy clothes if I reach a goal since I hardly ever buy clothes.

  11. I usually get myself a big piece of cake.... hahahaha! Sorry, sorry.

    Congratulations on your weight loss!

When I meet a goal, I try to schedule some alone time to myself, maybe have a soak in the tub, give myself a spa evening (at home)....
It's something I never get to do, and it's a great reward!

  14. Congratulations on reaching your goal weight! That's so fantastic!

I don't think I reward myself. What a fool I've been! Either that or I'm never reaching any goals!

  15. This may sound totally lame, but one of the ways I reward myself when I've accomplished certain goals or priorities is to indulge in some time playing "Cake Mania" on my computer. Like I said, Lame...BUT there is something I love about the mind numbing racing to bake and sell the cakes that I love - and it has to be a reward because there is no redeeming value of the game - it is purely time-wasting and probably counter productive, but I do enjoy a good game of it now and then.

Oh, and count me in on the chance for one of your aprons!

OH! And most importantly, CONGRATS on reaching your goal!

  16. Yay! I usually reward myself with a nap. :D

  17. Sorry, you had me at SNOW!

And yes, it's a four letter word. Yikes.

Seriously, though massive congrats. For a reward, how about a new holiday CD? A book that's just for fun? A new pair of jeans in your new size!

Although, jewelry is always a good idea. :)

    Cheers, Kiy

  18. Congrats on your accomplishment!

This is a terrible thing to admit, but honestly I'd probably reward myself with a DQ Blizzard. ;o)

  19. Congrats on reaching your goal weight!!! That's awesome!!! LOL, I typically reward myself by getting some sort of yummy not-so-healthy treat, but I think that'd be counter-productive in this case;) A few new articles of clothing would be a perfect fit for a weight loss goal, I think:)

I would LOVE to enter your contest! I've actually wanted a toddler apron for awhile, since Emma ALWAYS wants to help me cook. Yesterday, John put one of our aprons on her and tailored it to fit her while I baked a cake.
