American Idol, Contestants Announced!

Partially.

 

First up…Naima Adedapo. From cleaning toilets and mothering two little ones by herself…to a contestant on American Idol. I love her style, but don’t feel like she’s the strongest singer out there.

 

Clint Gamboa. The slightly annoying kid with the great voice that kicked the crowd favorite, JC, out of his group early on in the competition.

 

Haley Reinhard. Great big huge voice. And a major thing for short, bell-shaped skirts. She’s from Milwaukee, auditioned last year, and didn’t make it through. Hooray for second tries, right?

 

Paul McDonald. Sweet voice, really distinctive. Definitely one of my favorites. Quirky is a good way to describe him..but chill.

 

Ashton Jones. You’ll know her by her hair…unless she blows it out, of course. But, au naturale, her hair is gorgeous and reminiscent of a pyramid. Her face reminds me of Beyonce (which is probably because of her solo this week).

And now…the toughest part of the night. Chris Medina is up for judgment…and he didn’t make it. His fiancée was paralyzed by an accident, and he sings for her. And telling him that he didn’t make it through just about broke J-Lo’s heart. “I don’t want to do this anymore.” And fade to black. We’ll find out tomorrow if she comes back (I’m sure she will) and who will round out the top 24.

 

I know I blogged a little about American Idol a few weeks back…and then I stopped. I just didn’t have enough to say about SO many contestants, and home life has been a bit busier lately. But, I hope to keep you up to date from here out!

 

Oh, and one more thing? I’m really missing my DVR right now. Heh. THAT would help a lot!
