While Daddy watched tennis (I think that's the French Open? I see red clay...), Ying Ying explored the exersaucer we pulled down from storage in the garage.
(We have since taken off all of the tall toys, since she managed to thump herself in the head with them about four times in the first 10 minutes. Poor uncoordinated baby...it's tough getting used to having a body!)
In other news, it was a pretty normal Sunday. I woke up this morning pretty confused, after a vivid dream in which I was a My Little Pony. I was on a raft, on a quest, with Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle. We were supposed to deliver a million dollars to...someone...to buy....something. Something that would save the world. But Pinkie Pie had been pulled aside by a huckster who convinced her that what she REALLY needed to do was sneak her hooves into the purse and buy some...stars. Because that made perfect sense. Stars in a bottle. Just scoop them out of the sky with a special bottle. She was trying to convince me that buying the stars was more important than buying the...thing...that would save the world. They could use the magic stars to...I have no idea. That's when I woke up.
See? Same ol', same ol.
Went to church, wandered the halls with the baby in the carrier to get her down for her nap. Relaxed in the afternoon, and had dinner at my sister's house for our weekly Family Sunday Dinner (barbecued tamales tonight with loads of fruit on the side. Om nom nom). Oh, and a bit of fun good news - the 6 new chickens in my backyard (some of the new chicks we picked up this Spring) figured out how to put themselves to bed INSIDE the coop with last year's girls, instead of on top of the roof. Hooray for not needing to grab 6 chickens and lock them up for the night! (Locked doors = no midnight snacks for raccoons. Yea.)
