However, at 3 feet tall and 30 pounds, she's not exactly up to the task of hefting around her 14 pound, two foot tall brother!
Luckily, my mother already thought of this predicament, and presented BBJ with a baby of her very own for her birthday this past September.
BBJ, appropriately, named the baby "Baby."
Catchy, don't you think?
This morning, BBJ saw that Siu Jeun was fussing and knew that the front-carrier was in his imminent future. She grabbed the carrier from the floor, and asked if she could be the one to carry him around. (In hindsight, I should have done it...it's so funny when I hand her something that's too big. She always says, "Mama! Too heavy!!" and gives it back with a grunt. heh heh)
Because I'm just quick thinking like that, I asked her if she wanted to carry around her baby in the carrier, instead of mine? "Sure, Mama!" (That's her new favorite word. "Do you want toast?" "Umm...sure!")
She took off to her room and came back with Baby. I proceeded to fit her up in the backpack, and snug it up as best I could.
I think Baby looks pretty comfy, don't you? (Or is he sinking and asking for help?)
(American Idol voting starts tonight - is anyone else as excited as I am??! Only three people are getting through from tonight's 12 - vote early, vote often!!)
Oh how cute! Much better than when my son used his baby as a hammer.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't vote for Danny Gokie tonight I shall never forgive you. The husband is annoyed by him. I, however, want him to win.
ReplyDeleteI love little girls with their babies. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteI used to say sure when I was little and my cousins thought it was so funny they would ask question after question just to hear the little voice say...sure!
ReplyDeleteDon't you love how helpful they become (or at least their desire to be helpful). Rachel was just into that stage when Jenna was born too. We also got her a baby doll before Jenna was born--should have waited because she soon realized that a real baby was much more interesting.
