We Just Call Him Goofball

While we were out running errands the other day, no fewer than four women stopped me to tell me how cute my son was. Then they noticed his sister at my side. "And she's cute, too."
What??!
All. Four. Ladies.
(In her defense, she had picked out her own outfit that day, in stages. First, a pink top that came just past her bum, covered in polka dots. Then, the shorts - because it was NOT a dress as she thought - that were pink, green and blue stripes. Oh, and she was on a hair-dressing strike that day.)
I mean, yeah, he's cute...but poor BBJ has been ousted from her pedestal. It's a hard, cruel life she leads.
At home, I generally call Siu Jeun one of a few nicknames: Siu Jeun, Dude or Goofball.
Why Goofball?
I give you Exhibit A:

Notice the huge eyes and the goofy lips.

Exhibit B:

This is the left side of his head. His hair stands Straight. Out, but only on one portion of his head. Down by his ears, it lays flat. Hmm...

Exhibit C:

Again, with the poofing out at the corner of his head, and the laying down flat by the ears.

Finally, Exhibit D:

One more time - the hair lays flat across his forehead, and stands Straight Up on the top.
I will let you come to your own conclusions.
Goofball, or not?

  1. Definitely a ham, at least. And sometimes it stinks to have a cute sibling. But not when they are teens... when they are teens, she shall be grateful he's cute and therefore less embarrassing when her friends come over. Heh.

  7. Not a goofball...reminds me of Katie's hair when we first saw her photo! So, of COURSE, it can't be goofball. ;)

Poor little BBJ, that is hard when it happens. Hope she didn't seem to notice too much!
