You caught me. This isn't really a great China Talk Tuesday post. What it is, though, is a cute picture of BBJ.
Everybody say it with me. Awwwww.
BBJ inherited her father's gorgeous skin tones, tempered with my decidedly rosy skin tones. The result is a little girl who looks very much like me...but also looks smashing in orange. And yellow. Lime Green. Brown.
(All colors that tend to make me look...well, decidedly unappealing.)
My point? A few weeks ago, a friend wanted to have a Mary Kay party at my place. I agreed, and we had a ton of fun trying on make up, eating cookies and chatting. At the end of the day, I made sure to order a lovely shade of lip gloss that I had tried on.
The color was really lovely. It didn't look fantastic on me...but I liked it well enough.
I had a silly secret, though - I really bought it because it looked amazing on my two year old. She likes to play dress up sometimes and asks me to put on her make up. Is that so very wrong?? If that's wrong, I don't want to be right.
Besides...she looks gorgeous.

I am always amazed at the colors the Tongginator looks smashing wearing... including orange. And yes, BBJ looks GORGEOUS.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely gorgeous! But she was that way before the make-up too :)
ReplyDeleteYou both look gorgeous! And what a sweet, fun mom you are!
ReplyDeleteBBJ is such a doll. You both look great! :)
ReplyDeleteI only just realized that BBJ is Cantonese for little baby --am I right? Duh!
Aww... you both look wonderful! And she has your smile....
ReplyDeleteHeh. You just bought a $15 lip gloss for a 2-year-old?
ReplyDeleteYep, you're bonkers :) (But gorgeous anyway!)
that's a good picture of you! i keep forgetting your hair is short now.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, you both look adorable!
ReplyDeleteLove Myrnie's comment! Leave it to a sister to bust your chops:) But that is a wonderful photo of you two.
ReplyDeleteYou both look gorgeous. I had to giggle about the colors--Jarrah looks amazing is yellow, orange, brown and lime green. Me--not so much. ;)
