A Look at the Dining Room

 

I know, I know….I promised pictures of the house. But, seriously? Who wants to see someone else’s house, if it’s not for sale? If you’re really that interested in seeing the ENTIRE thing…drop me a line, and we’ll do lunch.

For the rest of you…wanna see a really BIG table?

When we found this table, we knew we’d found The One. It’s unique, it’s sturdy, and…best of all? Both ends pull out to allow leaves (one on each end) to drop in. By my calculations, I can seat approximately 279 people around this table.  Or at least enough to host Christmas dinner this year!

I’ve always wanted a buffet…so I was really happy to find this one that matches the table. All of my table linens, and china, fit inside. Best part? The doors snap shut with magnets, and it is imPOSSIBLE to close them quietly. What does this mean? Siu Jeun will NEVER be able to sneak into my cupboards without me knowing. And THAT is priceless!

 

The kids, of course, just enjoy the open space…for a rousing game of Let’s Run in Circles…

…Randomly Run Into Each Other…..

….Smile in Passing….

…And ALL FALL DOWN!

Repeat ad nauseum.  (And, umm…yeah. ‘bout the dude’s hair. I’ll explain it later. It was hard enough to catch him to get the ponytail IN. I couldn’t catch him again to get it OUT!)
