In my experience, becoming more eco-conscious can come from one of two directions.
Direction 1) You are appalled at the way we are treating our earth, and vow them and there to be a steward of your own plot of soil…till it, cultivate it, grow your own food, and stop being a waster of resources.
or…
Direction 2) You realize your wife is going to fill all available soil with seeds. You also realize that if she does that, all the seeds will DIE (wasting money) unless she first “fixes” the soil with compost and mulch (costing money). You then realize that a big black ball in your backyard, to make your own compost, might be a wise investment.
You can decide which side of the fence Lo Gung is on. ;-)
