When Siu Jeun was a baby, he cleared off tables and emptied drawers like it was his job. He was quick, he was messy, and he was thorough. He was even a little put-out that he had to do it at all - "who kept filling up the drawers in the first place?!" his sighs would clearly communicate. Complete with eye roll. It was fantastic.
Ying Ying is a different creature. When she finds a drawer or a bag or a cupboard that nobody is watching, she gives an audible "Woooow..." and dives in. Each item is pulled out, examined, and carefully set aside. (Unless there is a book involved. The book is likely to be ripped in half if not caught quickly. No idea why she has it in for books, but...there you go. She adores them, she just expects them to be much, MUCH sturdier than they actually are. Even board books aren't safe.) If the mood strikes her, she will then put everything back when she is done. (She loves helping me with the laundry. She stands in front of the washer and pulls out the entire load, one by one, and hands the items to me to be put into the dryer. We are quite the team!)
